2025 belongs to Toluca. Another trophy added to the year.
Toluca added another chapter to an already impressive year, defeating LA Galaxy 3–2 to win the 2025 Campeones Cup at Dignity Health Sports Park.
It wasn’t simple. It wasn’t comfortable. But it was very 2025 Toluca.
Galaxy struck first from the penalty spot before Toluca responded through Nicolás Castro after the break. The night stayed open, with both sides trading pressure and moments in transition. LA regained the lead late, but Toluca never rushed the game.
Franco Romero leveled it in the 88th minute, and just minutes later Federico Pereira delivered the decisive goal in stoppage time — a finish that sealed the comeback and the trophy.
The 3–2 result wasn’t just about one dramatic ending. It reflected the consistency Toluca have shown throughout 2025 — composed in difficult stretches, aggressive when opportunities appear, and confident closing matches under pressure.
With the Campeones Cup secured, Toluca’s year continues to stand out. Different competitions, different environments, same outcome.
2025 keeps delivering for Toluca.
