Tigres and Houston opened their Leagues Cup campaign with a high-energy matchup at Shell Energy Stadium, and the night belonged to the visitors. Tigres grabbed control late in the first half, breaking the deadlock with a sharp finish from Ángel Correa, a goal that shifted the momentum heading into halftime.

Houston came out fighting in the second half and found a response through Ondřej Lingr, who finished a break to briefly bring the Dynamo level. But Tigres answered quickly — and decisively. Diego Laínez restored the lead with a clean strike, and from there Tigres’ attack settled into a rhythm that proved tough to contain. Correa added his second of the night moments later, stretching the advantage and giving Tigres full control as the match wore on.

Houston pushed numbers forward in the closing minutes, but Tigres sealed the result with a late goal from Ozziel Herrera, closing the night at 4–1. Tigres’ efficiency in the final third and their ability to punish small mistakes made the difference, turning what began as a tight contest into a convincing win.

Here are some moments from the match.
